A lifelong resident of Tulsa, Mr. Burris focused on advocacy at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he served as president of the Board of Advocates and editor of the Tulsa Law Review, taught small groups in Contracts and Property, and earned the Board of Advocates Certificate of Service Award for his work helping other students develop their oral and written advocacy skills. Mr. Burris won 4th Place in the National Health Law Competition and competed in the ATLA Trial Competition and the National Trial Competition. Mr. Burris currently teaches in his alma mater’s trial practice program, and has been identified in Law & Politics magazine as one of Oklahoma’s best up-and-coming attorneys. Mr. Burris defends and advises insurance professionals, employers, medical providers, and businesses in civil litigation, licensure and regulatory proceedings, and appeals.
