Courtney L. Eagan-Smith

Courtney L. Eagan-Smith was born in Tulsa, OK on December 28, 1982. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Ms. Eagan-Smith worked at the National Museum of the American Indian during its opening in 2004. It was this experience for Ms. Eagan-Smith that prompted her to attend law school and study in the area of Indian Law. During her time in law school Ms. Eagan-Smith pursued different policy areas of Indian law, including housing. Her article, A House With No Walls: The Federal Government’s Role in Indian Housing, was published in the Tulsa Law Review, Winter 2008. Today, Ms. Eagan-Smith’s practice primarily consists of serving Muscogee (Creek) Citizens in the area of family law, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and guardianships.
