Shannon L. Prescott was born in Tulsa, OK on September 13, 1974. She is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and has dedicated her legal career to serving her Nation and all other Indian Nations. Ms. Prescott served as a tribal prosecutor for almost seven (7) years primarily representing the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in the prosecution of criminal, juvenile and domestic matters. Ms. Prescott has represented the Nation in the protection of its sovereignty in state and federal courts. She served as the legal advisor to the Nation’s Family Violence Program, Children and Family Services Administration and Lighthorse Police Department. Ms. Prescott continues to provide training to those in the domestic violence field as a contract instructor for the Domestic Violence Instructor Training Program, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Department of Homeland Security and National Sheriff’s Association. Ms. Prescott’s practice areas encompass all tribal legal issues, including but not limited to, Estate Planning, Probate, Tribal Economic Development, Domestic matters and general tribal consultation.
