Jeff Glendening was born on March 22, 1960 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with honors from the University of Oklahoma in 1982 and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1985.
He has been a practicing trial lawyer in Oklahoma for over twenty years and defends physicians and hospitals in medical negligence lawsuits.
Mr. Glendening is a member of the American, Oklahoma and Tulsa County Bar Associations as well as the Oklahoma Association of Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to the Western, Eastern and Northern Oklahoma Federal District Courts and the United States Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit.

Mr. McKenna was born in New York, N.Y., on September 14, 1955. Mr. McKenna’s practice is primarily devoted to insurance defense in the context of professional errors and omissions, general liability claims, employment discrimination and commercial litigation. Mr. McKenna has tried cases in state and federal courts, arbitration proceedings under collective bargaining agreements, and before agency licensure and disciplinary boards. During his career, Mr. McKenna has been involved in more than 100 appeals in state and federal courts across the country. He also practices in the areas of complex commercial litigation, including class action defense. Mr. McKenna’s practice also involved the preparation of coverage opinions and representing borrowers in private bond placements for construction and public work projects. Mr. McKenna has participated in presenting continuing education seminars for claims handlers and counsel in the areas of health law and catastrophic litigation defense. Mr. McKenna has been included in the Oklahoma “SuperLawyers” magazine in 2007, 2008 and 2009, an award given only to the state’s top 5% attorneys. Shannon L. Prescott was born in Tulsa, OK on September 13, 1974. She is a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma and has dedicated her legal career to serving her Nation and all other Indian Nations. Ms. Prescott served as a tribal prosecutor for almost seven (7) years primarily representing the Muscogee (Creek) Nation in the prosecution of criminal, juvenile and domestic matters. Ms. Prescott has represented the Nation in the protection of its sovereignty in state and federal courts. She served as the legal advisor to the Nation’s Family Violence Program, Children and Family Services Administration and Lighthorse Police Department. Ms. Prescott continues to provide training to those in the domestic violence field as a contract instructor for the Domestic Violence Instructor Training Program, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Department of Homeland Security and National Sheriff’s Association. Ms. Prescott’s practice areas encompass all tribal legal issues, including but not limited to, Estate Planning, Probate, Tribal Economic Development, Domestic matters and general tribal consultation.

A native Oklahoman, Jason received a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal justice with a double major in political science from Northeastern State University and a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law. Upon graduation from law school, he became an assistant public defender for Tulsa County where he defended hundreds of persons charged with felony crimes. Thereafter, his practice has focused on civil litigation matters in general liability, products liability, premise liability, civil rights, police misconduct, medical malpractice, municipal liability, professional liability, nursing home abuse, auto and trucking accidents, and bad faith. He has prosecuted, defended, and tried numerous cases both in state and federal court.

A lifelong resident of Tulsa, Mr. Burris focused on advocacy at the University of Tulsa College of Law, where he served as president of the Board of Advocates and editor of the Tulsa Law Review, taught small groups in Contracts and Property, and earned the Board of Advocates Certificate of Service Award for his work helping other students develop their oral and written advocacy skills. Mr. Burris won 4th Place in the National Health Law Competition and competed in the ATLA Trial Competition and the National Trial Competition. Mr. Burris currently teaches in his alma mater’s trial practice program, and has been identified in Law & Politics magazine as one of Oklahoma’s best up-and-coming attorneys. Mr. Burris defends and advises insurance professionals, employers, medical providers, and businesses in civil litigation, licensure and regulatory proceedings, and appeals.

Kacie R. Cresswell was born in Tulsa, OK, on April 30, 1983. Ms. Cresswell’s practice is primarily devoted to representing Muscogee (Creek) Nation citizens in both state and tribal courts. Ms. Cresswell’s practice consists of representing clients in divorces, child custody cases, adoptions, and guardianships. Ms. Cresswell graduated with her Bachelor of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in 2005. In 2008, Ms. Cresswell earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Tulsa with a Certificate in Native American Law.

Ms. Crowe was born in Houston, TX on February 9, 1968. Throughout her career, Ms. Crowe has devoted much of her practice to the representation of Native Americans and Indian Nations. She has represented the interests of several Indian Nations in both state and tribal courts in the capacity of Tribal Prosecutor, Public Defender and Assistant Attorney General. Ms. Crowe is a Certified Family Mediator and has conducted several successful mediations concerning high conflict cases. She has presented on the topics of Protective Order Laws and Procedure; Tribal Child Support Enforcement, and The Role of the Family Mediator. Ms. Crowe has also published scholarly works in the area of Fair Campaign Practices in California and co-authored works on the topic of Competition Law in the European Union. Courtney L. Eagan-Smith was born in Tulsa, OK on December 28, 1982. She is a citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Ms. Eagan-Smith worked at the National Museum of the American Indian during its opening in 2004. It was this experience for Ms. Eagan-Smith that prompted her to attend law school and study in the area of Indian Law. During her time in law school Ms. Eagan-Smith pursued different policy areas of Indian law, including housing. Her article, A House With No Walls: The Federal Government’s Role in Indian Housing, was published in the Tulsa Law Review, Winter 2008. Today, Ms. Eagan-Smith’s practice primarily consists of serving Muscogee (Creek) Citizens in the area of family law, including divorce, child custody, adoption, and guardianships.

Nicci Unsicker was born in Elgin, Illinois. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to study Indian Law at the University of Tulsa. While in school, she worked at several law firms focusing on Native American issues, including Oklahoma Indian Legal Services. During her time at OILS she worked on Estate Planning and Guardian Ad Litem cases. While in law school she was heavily involved with the Native American Law Student Association. Nicci is interested in many different legal areas affecting indigenous peoples, and mainly practices in the areas of estate planning, probate, and restricted land issues.
